Save the date\, nominate\, and stay tuned for ticket announcement in the coming weeks.  \n\nFracTracker Alliance is excited to invite you to attend the 2026 Community Sentinel Awards for Environmental Stewardship—a  biannual awards program hosted in partnership with Halt the Harm Network to honor individuals from across the United States who demonstrate extraordinary courage and commitment in their efforts to protect their communities from environmental injustice. \nEstablished in 2015\, the Sentinel Award recognizes the pivotal role of individuals championing change on the front lines of the environmental movement. The award specifically honors those who work to stop the harms of the fossil fuel industry on their communities and their environment. \nThese Sentinels engage in a variety of impactful practices\, such as organizing grassroots campaigns\, advocating for stricter laws and regulations\, conducting independent research to expose environmental harms\, raising awareness through various art forms—including music\, theater\, visual arts\, and literature—and educating the public on the impacts of fossil fuels. \nRecipients of the Community Sentinel Award for Environmental Stewardship are celebrated not only for their individual accomplishments but also as representatives of the broader movement for environmental justice. By honoring these remarkable individuals\, we aim to highlight the diverse and powerful voices leading the charge for a more just world. \nThe Awards Ceremony \nThis year marks the 11th Community Sentinel Award for Environmental Stewardship. The recipients will be honored at a live award ceremony on November 12\, 2026  in New Orleans\, Louisiana.
