SUMMARY:Network Strategy Café
DESCRIPTION:Folks are often surprised to hear about HHN’s fellowship model and that we don’t have any full time staff. How do we do so much? And why does HHN focus more on serving leaders than on leading our own campaigns? \nThis is the first topic in a new discussion series we’re hosting called Strategy Café. Each event in this series will share a different element of the network strategy for discussion and input. \nWe want to validate our approach. We’re always seeking to improve and challenge our assumptions. Each week we’ll discuss an important question to building a movement to fight oil & gas pollution. We hope you’ll join us and bring your ideas and perspective. \n\n→ See the Full Series Here\nPart 1: Why does HHN focus on serving leaders?\nHHN tends to focus on serving leaders and connecting people with the expertise they need. In this first session\, learn why we focus on serving leaders instead of running our own campaigns. \nHere’s the Full Schedule\n\nWeek 1: Why is HHN focused on serving leaders?\nWeek 2: What is the oil & gas industry’s playbook?\nWeek 3: Where is our movement strong\, weak\, and growing?\nWeek 4: How can we turn scattered fights into a powerful force?\nWeek 5: What sustains and grows a powerful network/movement?\nWeek 6: How does your feedback guide HHN’s next move?\n\n→ Read More and Register in HHN

SUMMARY:Action & Accountability Discussion: Secret Oil & Gas Chemicals
DESCRIPTION:The report released two months ago “Oil & Gas Chemicals\, Still Secret in Colorado” hit the industry hard\, increasing industry compliance from under 40% to over 90% in just two months—demonstrating the power of transparency and accountability. \nJoin us to write letters and plan community alerts about chemical disclosure\, riding the momentum of this win to address significant gaps and build power to confront these harms. \n\nHolding Oil & Gas Companies accountable:\nCompanies are still failing to disclose drilling chemicals (about half the law’s requirements)\, and some are reporting use of prohibited substances including PFAS “forever chemicals.” Today an estimated $37+ million in fines remain uncollected\, and the notification requirement to nearby schools\, hospitals\, and residents appears largely unimplemented.\nJoin us to continue the discussion\, address questions\, and network with other leaders. Let’s discuss next steps\, resources\, and more. I can’t join live — will there be a replay? \nWhile we provide recordings for webinars\, these events will only be recorded if there is a presentation component. The privacy of HHN leaders are a top priority.
