Fellowship Opportunity: 2025 Halt the Harm Digital Campaign Support Fellow

Are you an experienced digital organizer with a passion for environmental justice? Or are you looking for more experience working with online action tools?  Halt the Harm Network, hosted by Netcentric Campaigns, is seeking an Action Network practitioner as a Fellow to support HHN leaders across the country.

In this remote, part-time role, you will work directly with grassroots leaders and the Executive Director to set up and manage deployment of digital campaigns on Action Network to support campaigns against oil and gas pollution—both by advising on campaign strategy and by delivering hands-on support in digital organizing and email list building.

Objective

Under this Fellowship you will learn about network building, the work of Halt the Harm Network, campaigns across the movement,  and will complete a scope of work designed to support and empower grassroots campaigns. You’ll provide support to grassroots leaders and collaborate on campaign content production.  You will guide digital campaign activities on HHN’s Action Network for leaders fighting the harms of fracking and fossil fuel developments.

Responsibilities

  • Campaign Creation & Management: Create and manage action campaigns, petitions, and landing pages using Action Network.
  • Collaboration & Peer Leadership: Work alongside the Halt the Harm Network team and engage directly with the Executive Director to align our digital efforts.
  • Email List Building & Engagement: Support grassroots leaders in building and managing email lists; develop email sequences to promote campaigns and engage supporters.
  • Technical Support: Provide technical assistance for online actions and guide leaders on best practices in email list management and digital campaign strategy.
  • Ongoing Outreach & Communication: Conduct regular follow-ups with leaders, assist in content creation, support webinar setup and promotion, and help maintain campaign timelines.

Qualifications

  • Demonstrated experience using Action Network for campaign management.
  • Proven success in email list building and supporter engagement.
  • Understanding of digital organizing principles, with a track record of impactful campaign work.
  • Experience designing landing pages and action forms on Action Network.
  • Excellent communication and support skills.

Key Performance Indicators (KPIs)

  • Number of successful email campaigns launched.
  • Growth in email list size and supporter engagement rates.

The Offer & Terms

  • Compensation: $50 per hour, for up to 10 hours per month with potential for expansion based on campaign tempo and demands of the support from leaders. 
  • Duration: A three-month term with the possibility of extension, as mutually agreed.
  • Confidentiality: Fellows may have access to sensitive information and are required to maintain strict confidentiality throughout and after the fellowship.
