Last month, Environmental Health Project (EHP) released a new tool called Compounds of Concern. This tool provides easy-to-understand details on exposure symptoms and health impacts of chemical compounds associated with industrial operations.
You can watch the recording of the Compounds of Concern launch event here and access the Compounds of Concern tool here.
Compounds of Concern is intended to help community members living near polluting facilities and organizations that are supporting them. For example, if someone is having trouble breathing and wants to know what compound(s) may be causing that symptom, they can find possible answers on this tool. Or, if someone hears about the release of a chemical compound from a nearby facility in the news, they can find out more about what that compound is, how it’s used, and its related health effects.
