Convergence Fellowship

Build your facilitation skills, launch a real campaign, and grow your network — in three months.

Nobody fights oil and gas pollution alone. But moving from concern to coordinated community action takes more than passion — it takes the skills to bring people together, run effective meetings, and build a strategy that sticks.

The Campaign Convergence Fellowship is a three-month, paid leadership development program for environmental and public health advocates who are ready to level up. You’ll receive professional facilitation training, one-on-one mentorship from an experienced campaign advisor, and a structured framework for designing and leading a five-meeting campaign series in your community.

By the end of the fellowship, you won’t just have new skills — you’ll have a live campaign with real momentum, a growing network of activated community partners, and documented strategies others can learn from.

Who Should Apply

  • Community organizers, advocates, or volunteers working on environmental or public health issues related to oil and gas development
  • People who are already doing the work and want sharper tools for bringing others into it
  • Leaders who want to facilitate better meetings, build coalitions, and run more strategic campaigns
  • Anyone with a specific campaign idea they’re ready to move forward — whether it’s fighting a new permit, pushing local policy, or building community awareness

You don’t need to be a professional facilitator to apply. You need to be committed, willing to learn, and ready to put in the work.

What You’ll Do

The fellowship is built around a tested progression: you’ll design and lead a series of five strategic meetings that move your campaign from initial community engagement through a concrete action plan.

1. Issue Briefing & Relationship-Building Introduce the issue, connect with stakeholders, and build the relationships that hold a campaign together.

2. Power Mapping & Stakeholder Analysis Map who holds power, who’s affected, and where the leverage points are.

3. Campaign Strategy Development Turn insight into a focused strategy with clear goals, targets, and tactics.

4. Message & Narrative Creation Develop the language and framing that moves your audience to action.

5. Work Plan & Implementation Planning Build a detailed plan with real timelines, roles, and next steps — so the campaign outlives the fellowship.
