Welcome to Strategic Sunday: Content for Network Geeks and HHN fans

Welcome to Strategic Sunday! We’re opening our strategic playbook and seeking your feedback over the course of 7 weekly broadcasts. (You can sign-up below)

We live in, and have family in harmed by the gas industry. It’s our own experience along with the stories we hear that motivates everything we do at Halt the Harm Network.

Building and coordinating a network of leaders has given us a unique perspective. This series is our chance to share-back what we believe is working, what isn’t, what we’re learning, get feedback, and compare notes.

Why Share Our Strategy Now?

Most simply, our members asked to hear it.

In our annual survey, feedback expressed confusion about who we are and asked us to pull back the curtain on how we think about this work.

You’ve seen us in action on webinars, in strategy sessions, and supporting campaigns. But some of you want to understand more about why we do things differently.

Why do we focus on network power instead of traditional advocacy? Why do we believe in peer-to-peer expertise sharing? Why are we so obsessed with reducing friction to fight the industry?

We get it. Trust comes from transparency.

After years of letting our work speak for itself, it’s time to share more of the strategic thinking behind it.

What We’ll Explore Together

Every Sunday morning for the next eight weeks, we’ll break down a different piece of our approach:

  • How we analyze industry tactics and adapt our strategy
  • How we see the barriers facing community advocates today
  • How we’re turning isolated fights into connected campaigns
  • The power of rapid-response, networked resistance
  • Where we identify as breakthrough opportunities
  • What programs and tools we are working on

This isn’t another “movement building” lecture series. It’s an invitation to join us on the strategy analysis of our work and shape how we work together to win. We’ll ask for your direct input on how we can better serve as your strategic partner.

Why on Sunday?

We’re doing this on Sunday mornings because we know your weeks (and ours) are packed with campaign work.

Day in and day out, we are still focused on uplifting your campaigns, reports, needs, and offers to folks across the Halt the Harm Network.

These Sunday morning posts are complementary learning—designed to strengthen our collective work without getting in the way.

Each piece in this series of posts builds on the last, culminating in an online strategy session where we’ll work together to sharpen our shared approach.

Your pushback, questions, and insights make our work better. They always have. That’s why we’re not just sharing our strategy; we are inviting you to help evolve it.

Let’s keep building the kind of network that can actually match what we’re up against.

Sincerely,
Halt the Harm Network
