A new high-voltage transmission line is being proposed across southwestern Pennsylvania, and the decisions about its path, its cost and who pays for it are happening now.
In this webinar, Protect PT and Halt the Harm Network brought together two people who work on transmission and utility rates in Pennsylvania for a plain-language briefing on the proposed Kammer-Juniata line and what it could mean for the communities along the route.
NextEra is proposing the line, which would run from West Virginia through Washington, Westmoreland and Indiana counties. Data center demand is driving the project. Whether you live along the route or just pay an electric bill in Pennsylvania, you’ll come away knowing where the line runs, who pays for new transmission and how you can speak up.
