The Collision of Private Interests and Oil & Gas Regulations
Corruption in the highest levels of state and federal regulation of the oil and gas industry may not come as a surprise to many. However, the extent to which these federal agencies and state bodies have succumbed to regulatory capture would surprise most. Halt the Harm Leaders have documented examples when the agencies created to protect the public interest from industry threats are co-opted by industry to advance their own interests.
This webinar will feature panelists with expertise in a range of tactics, from investigative journalism, to petitions and direct action. They will present strategies to address this issue targeted at federal and state-specific regulatory bodies. And they will share surprising facts about regulatory capture. We invite you to take this unique opportunity to learn, see what others are doing, and plan how you can push for transparency and accountability.
