About the presenter:
Eve Miari is the Advocacy Coordinator at Clean Air Council. She holds a Masters of Education and has been working in nonprofit and community advocacy for 20 years. As an impacted resident along the Mariner East pipeline route, Eve was instrumental in starting the Middletown Coalition for Community Safety, Del Chesco United for Pipeline Safety, and in supporting residents up and down the pipeline route in starting their own local coalitions to advocate for public safety and environmental protections. Eve joined the staff of Clean Air Council two years ago as the Advocacy Coordinator in order to support residents in their organizing efforts around pipelines, engage residents and elected officials in decision-making processes, and raise awareness of pipeline impacts and how to advance protections for wetlands, waterways, and streams. The Council has been instrumental in fighting for clean air, clean water, and a healthy environment in the face of ever expanding fossil fuel infrastructure in PA.
